Inside the system.

Capture, liquefaction, and onboard storage work as one continuous system alongside normal vessel operations.

Exhaust gas from the vessel's engines first passes through a conditioning stage where NOx, SOx, and particulate matter are removed and the gas stream is cooled to conditions suitable for carbon capture. Pre-treatment ensures optimal capture performance while reducing additional air pollutants.

The conditioned exhaust then enters our proprietary capture module, where CO₂ is separated from the exhaust using a solvent-based absorption process. At the core of the system is our rotating packed bed (RPB) contactor technology, which dramatically increases gas-liquid contact efficiency. This enables capture equipment that is significantly smaller and lighter than conventional column-based systems, reducing system footprint by up to 75% and making onboard installation feasible across a wide range of commercial vessels.

After separation from the solvent, the captured CO₂ is compressed and cooled into liquid form. Liquefaction reduces the volume of the captured CO₂, enabling efficient onboard storage during normal vessel operations. The process is designed to integrate with available onboard energy streams to minimize incremental power demand.

Liquefied CO₂ is stored in dedicated marine-grade Type C tanks installed on deck. Upon arrival at port, the CO₂ can be offloaded through standard manifold connections and transferred into existing logistics infrastructure for delivery to permanent storage or industrial utilization networks.

AMERICAS

Stockton, CA

From vessel to verified storage, globally.

Carbon Ridge coordinates the offload, aggregation, transport, and delivery of captured CO₂ into established infrastructure.

Offload

Captured CO₂ is liquefied, stored onboard, and handed directly to storage infrastructure at anchorage without interrupting cargo operations or vessel schedules.

Aggregate

Carbon Ridge coordinates flexible transport from port to regional storage or utilization hubs, reliably connecting vessels to CO₂ infrastructure.

Store

We connect maritime CO₂ volumes to permanent sequestration networks and verified emissions-reduction pathways around the world.

Credible carbon reduction needs an ecosystem.

We partner across maritime, storage, and industrial infrastructure to make captured CO₂ measurable, verifiable, and eligible for compliance reporting.
